Seattle Gets Social Around the Holidays
November is the month when life begins to get a little crazy. The work calendar is already full, and the social calendar is quickly filling up. The days and weeks are swiftly moving by, and thoughts of the holidays are on people’s minds.
Let’s get to know Seattle’s event scene; where hashtags are synonymous with mentions, and retweets give a Twitter handle influencer cred! These are the events to R.S.V.P. yes to, mark on your calendar, and share with friends and family. Included are a few helpful tips to get you through the event just like a social media pro!
20Something Wine – The New Vintage | #20Wine + #WAWine
On November 23, fifty eight wineries from Washington state and sixteen restaurants will come together at Fremont Studios to celebrate #20Wine. This year, 20Something Wine is hosting a very special guest who will undoubtedly raise the bar on the dance-party level. DJ Tina T will provide the ultimate tracks to maintain a steady flow of excitement while the wine is poured and the edible delights are enjoyed.
Tips for social media success: go with a charged smartphone because you’ll definitely want to post photos to Instagram and tweet your favorite wines and delectables throughout the night. Use #20Wine and #WAWine at the event, and tag @20SomethingWine, @VisitSeattle and any of the wineries, restaurants or sponsors you wish to mention. 20Something Wine makes tweeting your favorite wines at the event simple, they’ve listed all the participating wineries who are on Twitter on their event page: http://thenewvintage.org/sip/
Final tip to leave you with for the 23rd of November: CELEBRATE and have FUN!
20Something Wine is an official Washington State wine event and produced in conjunction with the Washington State Wine Commission and Visit Seattle.

Emerald City Trolley – Holiday Lights Trolley
When’s the last time you and your social media tweeps got together and enjoyed a festive night out on a Trolley? Kicking off November 29th, hop aboard the Emerald City Holiday Lights Trolley! I suggest boarding the trolley at the Columbia Tower on 4th Avenue in downtown. You have to board at the Columbia Tower because before you join the fun on the holly, jolly Trolley, you have to make your way inside the Columbia Tower, up to floor 73, and feast your eyes on the majestic Emerald City below! Sky View Observatory is a total must with stunning 360-degree views of the greater Seattle area.
While on floor 73 of Sky View Observatory, be sure to use #SkyViewObservatory on all your impressive photo-ops posted to Twitter or Instagram!
While trolleying around on the holiday trolley, be sure to tweet @ECTrolley and use #HolidayTrolley!
